This page contains two documents: the Privacy Policy, which explains what information SaberVeraz collects and how it is used and protected, and the Terms of Service, which sets out the rules for using SaberVeraz. By creating an account or using SaberVeraz, you agree to both.
SaberVeraz ("SaberVeraz," "we," "us," or "our") is an educational discussion platform operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], based in New Jersey, United States. SaberVeraz lets teachers run written class discussions in which students respond in their own words, without AI assistance.
SaberVeraz is designed to be used by teachers and their students within a school or educational setting. Teachers and school administrators create accounts. Students do not create accounts of their own — they join discussion rooms using a room code or a school-provided Student username and password. We deliberately collect as little information about them as possible.

We do not ask students for birthdates, photographs, home addresses, phone numbers, or any information beyond what is described above. We do not knowingly collect more student information than is needed to run a class discussion.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not use student information for advertising, and we do not build advertising or behavioral profiles of students. SaberVeraz products are ad-free.
Because SaberVeraz may be used with students under the age of 13, the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") may apply. SaberVeraz is intended to be used in schools for a school-authorized educational purpose only. Consistent with guidance from the Federal Trade Commission, when SaberVeraz is used in a school setting, we rely on the school to provide consent on behalf of parents for the collection of student information used solely for that educational purpose.
By using SaberVeraz with students, the teacher, school, or district represents that it has the authority to consent, on behalf of parents or guardians, to the collection of student information as described in this policy, and that it will provide any parental notice required by its own policies or applicable law. If you are a parent or guardian and have questions about your child's information, please contact your child's school; the school controls the student data within SaberVeraz and can request its correction or deletion.
When SaberVeraz is used by a school or district, the student information within it may constitute "education records" under the U.S. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ("FERPA"). In that relationship:
SaberVeraz is based in New Jersey and intends to honor applicable state student-privacy laws, including New Jersey's student data privacy requirements. Consistent with those laws, we do not sell student data, do not use it for targeted advertising, maintain reasonable security measures, and will delete student data upon a school's request or at the end of an agreement, subject to the deletion terms below.
We share information only in these limited circumstances:
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold, including access controls that restrict each teacher to their own classrooms and each school to its own data and row-level security in our database. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect student and teacher data appropriately for its sensitivity.
We keep information for as long as an account is active or as needed to provide the service. A teacher can delete classrooms, discussion rooms, and their associated responses. A school or district may request deletion of its data by contacting us at [email protected]; we will delete or de-identify it using reasonable methods within a commercially reasonable time, except where we are required to retain it by law.
If we become aware of a security breach affecting personal information, we will notify affected schools and, where required, individuals and authorities, without unreasonable delay and in accordance with applicable law, including New Jersey's breach-notification requirements.
Teachers can review and edit the classrooms, rooms, and content they create. Because students do not hold their own accounts, requests to access, correct, or delete a student's information should be directed to the student's school, which controls that data. Schools may contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights on a student's behalf.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders. Continued use of SaberVeraz after a change means you accept the updated policy.

By creating an account or using SaberVeraz, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy above. If you are using SaberVeraz on behalf of a school or district, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.
Teacher and administrator accounts are intended for educators and school staff. Accounts are subject to review and approval before use. Students may use SaberVeraz only through a teacher's classroom, by joining discussion rooms — they do not create their own accounts.
If you use SaberVeraz with students, you (the teacher, school, or district) are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any consents required by law before students use the service, including any parental consent required under COPPA for students under 13, and for providing any notices required under FERPA or state law. You designate SaberVeraz as a "school official" under FERPA for the purpose of providing the service, and you retain control over the student education records processed through it. More information about COPPA is available from the Federal Trade Commission at ftc.gov.
By creating an account and using SaberVeraz, you acknowledge and agree that SaberVeraz will store, on your behalf and at your direction, the following information in connection with your use of the Service: your students' names; grades and scores you or SaberVeraz record for their discussion responses; the content of their discussion posts and replies; and student login usernames and passwords (passwords are stored in hashed, non-recoverable form — see Part 1, Section 8).
You assume responsibility for this storage. This means you confirm that you have the authority described in Section 3 above to have this information collected and stored, that you have provided any notices required by your school's policies or applicable law, and that you accept responsibility, as between you and SaberVeraz, for the appropriateness of storing this information for your class. This does not reduce SaberVeraz's own obligations under this Privacy Policy and these Terms, including our commitments around security, data minimization, and not selling or advertising against student data.
You agree not to use SaberVeraz to:
Teachers and their schools retain ownership of the content they create (classrooms, prompts, and student responses gathered under their direction). You grant SaberVeraz the limited permission needed to store, display, and process that content in order to provide the service. SaberVeraz retains all rights to the platform itself — its software, design, and branding.
SaberVeraz offers a free tier and paid tiers, as described on our site. Pricing, tier limits, and features may change; we will make current terms available on the site. Paid subscriptions and any associated terms are described at the point of purchase or in a separate agreement with a school or district.
We work to keep SaberVeraz available and reliable, but we provide the service "as is" and do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SaberVeraz is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SaberVeraz and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SaberVeraz and its developer from claims arising out of your misuse of the service or your violation of these terms or applicable law, to the extent permitted by law and consistent with any separate agreement with your school or district.
You may stop using SaberVeraz at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or that poses a risk to other users or to the service. On termination, the data handling described in the Privacy Policy's retention and deletion section applies.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
